Our physiotherapists use the latest the physiotherapy software on the market which enables the physiotherapist to retrieve client files and associated correspondence at the touch of a button, while they are sitting right in front of you. This ensures no more searching for lost or misplaced client charts or files. Written notes are replaced by using the computerised clinical notes solution. The specialised program allows the physiotherapist to record all aspects of the treatment session in a fraction of the time it would normally take. This allows more time to be spent on providing actual physiotherapy treatment, rather than spending the majority of the session talking.
At Queen Street physiotherapy we have the latest Interferential and Ultrasound machines on the market. This ensures quality controlled treatment delivered in the most precise manner possible. Additionally, we have purchased the latest 3 piece electric tables to offer you the best quality service that you deserve. No more having to lye on squeaky old wooden tables!
Queen Street physiotherapy has HICAPS (Health Industry Claims and Payments Service). It is an electronic health claiming and payment system that allows you to process your claim automatically after your treatment and before you leave the practice. HICAPS makes it so you don't have to make a separate trip to your private health fund branch to lodge your claim or send your claim via the post. The claim is finalised on the spot immediately after your consultation. So there is no need to pay the full consultation fee up-front then wait for the reimbursement of your benefit. After your consultation, your health fund card is swiped through the HICAPS terminal by the receptionist. Once your claim is authorised by the health fund, you simply pay the balance amount - the difference between the full fee for the treatment and the amount claimed from your health fund. At Queen Street Physiotherapy we have also installed EFTPOS, allowing you to pay the balance with your debit or credit card. There is no more paperwork and no wasted time!
A gait analysis is a detailed look at how you walk. There is a lot of information that can be obtained from analysing how a person walks. The mechanisms by which the foot loads can affect the rest of the body. It is for this reason that it is very important, as a musculoskeletal focused clinic, that we consider a persons foundation - their feet - when looking at how the rest of the body is functioning.
A foot scan is the method by which we examine the biomechanics of the feet. We use the TOG GaitScan in our clinic. The TOG GaitScan system provides a dynamic, weight-bearing computerized assessment of the biomechanics of a person's feet. The system measures the weight distribution at all contact points along the bottom surface of the foot.
The GaitScan force plate contains thousands of tiny sensors that scan at 300x per second to capture the distribution of pressure through your foot during the giat movement.
The orthotics produced from our laboratory are designed by using dynamic analysis measured on a force plate, which closely simulates your foot in walking and running positions. This differentiates our orthotics from most orthotics produced elsewhere, which are designed primarily on static analysis. Custom made orthotics help by realigning and stabilizing the bones in your feet, aiming to restore your natural walking pattern.
Simply contact our clinic to make a booking with one of our practitioners to have your gait assessed.
Queen Street Physiotherapy allows you to choose either (or both) email or text message reminders to be sent out prior to your appointment day. At Queen Street Physiotherapy, it is all about making everything as easy as possible for you.
